Sunday, June 14th we had a big lunch for Jaxson Lee to meet my family (well as many that could come). It was so great to have everyone over. It really meant a lot to have everyone meet our little man. Also we played dress up with Jaxson in his swimsuit that his Aunt Jaimee and Uncle Jared got him... I think are the cutest pictures of him!

Lunch with Friends

On Sunday before we headed to my parents we stopped and had lunch with our good friends, Jared and Paula. They have a new baby boy, Benjamin Liam Hicks. He was born January 19th and is growing like crazy!! Below are a couple of pictures of how cute Baby Ben is!!

Well after our quick trip to Houston we headed to Lake Granbury to celebrate Ashley and Bryan getting married! We had so much fun! It was one of the sweetest weddings we had ever been to. It was easy to tell how much Bryan loves our girl!! Ashley and I were sorority sisters since our 2nd year at Tech, and she has stuck with me as her best bud ever since! Also, she was roommates with John and Matt (She is crazy!). We are so happy for Ash and B!!

Even though we were not in Houston for long, we did get to grab dinner with the family. John, Jeremy, and Chad (As most of you know) are not just cousins they are brothers. Well we all have babies now! Chad and Kim have Miss Sydney who is 13 months. Jeremy and Debra have Aubrey (but she was out of town) and Ashton who is 9 months. Also Shane was able to come out and meet Jaxson and Payne. He bought them matching little man suits that are too cute!

PAYNE GRANBERRY

Jaxson had his first trip to Texas for Ashley and Bryan's Wedding. Well Payne was born on Thursday June 11, so on our way to Lake Granbury we snuck into Houston. Hello Everyone!! We had such a great weekend!! Shane and Ashley couldn't make because of a death of a close friend. So Jaxson got his ChaCha all to himself.

We were actually very productive this weekend! We had our first trip to the mall (had to take a quick break to nurse in a restroom... he got hungry) and we went to eat out!!

ChaCha help us get Jaxson on a better sleeping schedule so I can get more sleep. He is doing great at it and only wakes up around 2:00 AM and then again around 6:30 AM. I took full advantage of ChaCha being here and got to get a pedicure!!!! We also went to Target just mom and I and daddy watched Jax while we were gone. It was a fun weekend and of course I loved getting to hang out with my mom. Here are a few pictures from this weekend.

I don't have much time to type today... Jaxson is getting more and more active. I can not believe yesterday he was all ready a week old!! I have some pictures below to talk about our adventures the past couple of days.

On his way to his first doctors appointment. Everything went so great. This was on Tuesday the 19th.. The doctor said he is looking great and he will see us back on June 1st!

Jaxson's fist trip to the Deli. This is Nadia a coworker of mine. Everyone thought he was too cute... A little shocked how quiet he was since John and I are definitely not quiet!!

My little man and I having a great day... He was worn out after the deli and riding through the carwash with mom.... He is the greatest thing that has ever happened to us. I will update again soon... Shane, Ashley and my Mom are coming in this weekend so we will have lots more pictures soon.

Thank you everyone for all the sweet comments, flowers, prayers, goodies, visits, etc.! I am so excited about this blog... My sister in laws had to show me how to do it so everyone can stay updated on our life here in Baton Rouge. Our first weekend at home was a blast! We had so many visitors that helped so John and I actually got some sleep!! Thank you to everyone for that!

Updates on Mallory & Jaxson

8:45 a.m.
Mallory was induced at 4 a.m. this morning. Her water was broken at 8:45 a.m. and she is dilated 1 cm and 80% effaced. She is having normal contractions, getting closer together, and comfortable. Now that her body is ready to go, Jaxson should arrive this afternoon!

Mallory just got an epidural!

1:15 p.m.
She is dilated 3-4 cm's, contractions are constant and intense. Nurse will check her again in 2 hours and thinks that she'll be between 6-8 cm's. It's getting close!!

2:15 p.m.
Mal is dilated 5 cm's and completely effaced! Her blood pressure dropped and Jaxson's heart rate dropped but they got it all under control with oxygen and putting her on her left side. Both Mal and Jaxson are doing great and making progress! They've lowered her Pitocin from 32 to 2 (not sure what the units are) since Jaxson wasn't responding well to it...he's too comfy in the womb and doesn't want to come out!!

3:45 p.m.
Mal is dilated a good 6 cm's. She is resting before the time comes to push! Not much longer.

5:45 p.m.
SHE'S PUSHING!! Jaxson will be here shortly!!!

Hello family & friends!
We have started a blog to keep our families up to date on what's going on with our newly expanding (tomorrow) family!! May 12th is a BIG day in the Henrichs house- Jaxson Lee is arriving!! I will be induced at 4 a.m. tomorrow and will keep everyone posted once Jax arrives. We love you all and hope to see you very soon!!
